Wear the Right Clothes
If you want to enjoy your hunting trip, you want to make sure that you are wearing the right clothes. Since you are going to be out in the water and the marshes and it's likely to be relatively chilly when you are out there, making sure that you have the right gear will mean that you are able to stay warm and healthy while you are hunting. The right clothes start from the skin out. You will want to have something close to your skin that not only will keep you warm but will also wick the moisture away from your skin. You may want to consider something like wool long underwear. The nice thing about wool is that it will keep you warm even when it's wet. Then you can start layering out from there. You are going to want to have camo clothes on over your long johns so that you can hide in the blind easier. Your final layer should be waders and some kind of water-resistant jacket. You are going to have to be wandering around in the water, and the waders are going to keep you dry. Before you buy a pair of waders, make sure you try them out and see if they are comfortable.
Decoys
You want to be able to trick the ducks into landing in front of you so that you can shoot them. The way to do that is to have decoys that you put out in front of them. The decoys floating around outside the blind are going to tell any flocks of ducks flying around that this is a safe place for them to land, so they are an important part of your hunting gear. You want to make sure that you have a nice mix of male and female decoys. If you look at a flock, you will see that they generally aren't all one sex, so you want to mimic that in your decoy flock. You also want to make sure that you place them correctly so that the birds will land where you want. There are various ways that you can place your decoys, and it may take some time and experimentation to find one that works for you.
